Dr. David W. Tonkyn

Population ecology

Clemson University

In brief

I conduct research on general problems in statistical and population ecology, and on the application of optimization methods for the conservation of endangered species and biotas. My students work on various species at risk - birds, butterflies, elephants and tigers. I lecture in ecology and related areas, and lead annual courses to India and the northern Rockies.

I am the founding advisor for the Clemson Tigers for Tigers Club and also for the National T4T Coalition, and senior instructor for the Clemson Hapkido Club.

This is very much a website under development.  Many elements are here but many are still missing.  Check back.
